This is the poster for the film 'Superman Returns'. The protagonist of the film, Superman dominates over 2 thirds of the poster which is very typical to film posters. We also like the use of a high angle shot to show that Superman is actually flying as it emphasizes his powers. The font is very bold and strong, reflecting Superman himself and can be seen very clearly. The font is also white which implies that Superman is the good guy as white symbolizes goodness.
In this poster for the film 'Kill Bill' the protagonist, the bride, again dominates over 2 thirds of the image. The font matches the overall feel and colour scheme of the poster which is strong and bold. The colour yellow gives the poster quite a feminine feel as the films main character is a woman. The sword can also be seen very clearly implying the genre of the film, action. The use of red again with the sword and the tagline 'a roaring rampage of revenge' says the film will be violent as red connotates blood and danger.
This poster for the film Charlie's angels is very provocative and again the 3 girls dominate over 2 thirds of the image. The use of costume and the hands held behind her back show them to be very sassy and independent which is what the film is about. There are also enigmas raised as to why she is holding her hands like that behind her back. The font used has the same connotations as our own, bold and strong but girly through the use of curvy letters and a sans serif font. Again the red used could imply that the film is quite violent. The cast, which is very important to a film and the release date can also be seen very clearly.

This is the poster for Catwoman and it has a very limited colour scheme. This could imply the film is quite dark and serious. Catwoman is the main vocal point and we like the use of a low angle shot, giving her more power. She is also coming from outside, which is bright which implies she is the only hope. This font is quite sophisticated as it uses serif font and we like the way the O looks like a cats eye as it gives us an idea of the film.
